He was previously a fitness instructor in the Mariner Centre in Camelon before backpacking around the world, an experience which he has said allowed him to develop his music, as well as discover a huge variety of people and cultures.

Urging people to buy the track and help him fundraise for charity, he said: “I’ve been playing and writing music for many moons.

“I wrote and recorded the song a few years ago and wasn’t going to put it out under my own name but I think it’s an important time to show with all the racial negativity that the world is moving forward and diversifying.”

Ghost Train is about the Pete’s struggle with anxiety and depression.

He added: “I wanted to capture the atmosphere of these mental health disorders in music and found dub to be the perfect medium to bring out the darkness and paranoia.

“If you haven’t heard some already, then its time for you to say hello to Scottish reggae dub and help some great causes.

“Riding the Ghost Train can seem like an endless nightmare to those on it but I want people to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel (excuse the pun), I will be donating the first three months of track sales to three local charities, one of them being FDAMH who provide counselling and support to people with mental health issues (the other two are NHS Forth Valley and Nordoff Robbins Scotland).”
