Falkirk Jet2 staff prepare to welcome back passengers

Holiday firm Jet2 has announced that it plans to start flying again on July 1.

The company had cancelled all its flights and package holidays last month in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

But today it announced that it was preparing for take off at the start of July.

And ground staff working for Jet2’s red team, including Caitlyn Hay and Sonya Elder from Falkirk, are looking forward to welcoming holidaymakers back.

They’ve even produced a video to show how much they are missing passengers.

Today’s statement on the Jet2 website states: “Due to the ongoing uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic, we’ve decided to recommence our flights programme on July 1, 2020. If you're travelling before this date, unfortunately, your booking will be affected as our flights won't be operating.

“We're proactively contacting all affected customers in departure date order, which we think is the fairest way – please be patient with us as we do this. In the meantime, please check the FAQs below..
