Falkirk High School pupils encourage public to keep town litter-free

Falkirk High School pupils are urging those who live and work in the town to play their part in keeping the area litter-free.

Members of its Pupil Junior Management Team carried out a clean-up on Monday to demonstrate how small actions can go a long way.

Comprising S3 students, the team is calling on members of the public to “take pride” in the area.

Pupil Hollie Howland said: “Litter is an eyesore, plain and simple. It can negatively impact your sense of community and safety.

“Our aim is to contribute to cleaning up our environment by raising awareness, educating others of the benefits of being eco-friendly and the consequences of littering.

“Keeping our environment beautiful and litter-free is everyone’s responsibility. We urge you to take pride in Falkirk wherever you go.

“One piece of litter can go a long way – it affects residents, wildlife and can create an environment which is unloved and uncared for. We must take action now!”
