Falkirk folk offered door to door festive transport

A group which helps people get out and about across Falkirk is offering door to door festive transport.

The Order of Malta has been operating Dial-A-Journey services around the district for over 30 years.

It is offering to help people who may normally struggle to get access to public transport.

And, with Christmas coming up, that could be to meet friends in a physically distant way, for coffee or just to marvel at the lights in the town centre.

Some journeys are partially subsided by the three local councils across the Forth Valley area and trips can cost as little as £5.

The organisation offers a door-to-door service, easily accessible vehicles and vehicles big enough to allow plenty of space between the driver and passengers so it is a safe alternative for people who are nervous about starting to travel again.

In Falkirk and Stirling it also offers Shopmobility assistance with rentals of wheelchairs and mobility aids.
