Falkirk Council will deliver free period products to your door

As part of the drive to make sure that anyone who needs period products can access them, a new easy to use online service has been launched which will deliver products to your door.

Backed by funding from the Scottish Government, the new online service, compliments other initiatives already in place and, while some of our usual pick-up points are temporarily closed, will make sure you can still get access to the products you need.

To place an order, you must live in the Falkirk Council area and provide a Falkirk postcode for delivery.

A three-month supply will then be posted to your home address.

This may take up to three weeks to arrive so people are asked to plan ahead and try to order in advance if possible.

Products available include disposable sanitary pads, tampons and period pants

Sally Buchanan, senior Fairer Falkirk co-ordinator, said: “For the first time period products are being delivered to home addresses completely free of charge. Anyone, including employees, should place an order if they need them and I’d urge those working in local communities to share the information about how to sign up.”

Alternatively, if you don’t have internet access call 0808 100 3161 to place an order.

People can also pick up these products from many of Falkirk Council’s public buildings once lockdown restrictions have been lifted.
