Laurieston Bowling Club will be hosting its annual Willie Scobie Memorial event on Saturday and hope it will be a big draw for spectators.

Organisers will once again be using the popular match fixture at the Polmont Road club to help raise funds for Strathcarron Hospice and Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Barry Main started the event back in 2019, initially to raise funds for British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research in memory of his brother-in-law Willie Scobie.

This year’s event gets underway at 9.30am.
