The Stevenson family, who run the popular horticultural centre in Larbert, and their staff have been fundraising during the 30th anniversary of the charity’s Great Daffodil Appeal.

They sold daffodil bird feeders and throughout March and £2 from every sale went to Marie Curie. Volunteers were also in the garden centre that month holding a collection, while daffodil pin badges were sold at the till points.

Shop manager Jamie Stevenson handed over a cheque for £702 to Jennifer Gale, Marie Curie community fundraiser for the Falkirk area.

The Great Daffodil Appeal is the charity’s biggest fundraising appeal each year and events have taken place across the district to collect cash to support Marie Curie’s work caring for cancer sufferers and their families.
