The latest lunch presentation will take place in Carronshore Community Centre on Thursday, October 22, starting at 12.30pm.

The OTAGO programme includes simple, practical exercises designed to strengthen the legs and improve balance. Barbara will demonstrate exercises that can help people feel more confident when walking and support them to remain active and independent.

A spokesperson for Carronshore Heritage Forum said: “Due to feedback and by popular demand we have invited Barbara McConnell back to give a presentation on her hugely effective and fun OTAGO exercise programme.

“We received such positive feedback from Barbara's previous visit that we felt it was only right to bring her back. This is a fantastic opportunity for people to learn more about falls prevention, improve their confidence and have some fun along the way.”

The event will also provide an opportunity for local people to meet others, enjoy a buffet lunch, tea, coffee and a chat in the friendly and welcoming atmosphere that Carronshore Heritage Forum's community events are known for.
