Members of the Braes communities paid their respects to a former GP yesterday (Thursday) as his funeral cortege passed through the villages.

Dr Victor Borg-Grech passed away on May 1, aged 86.

With the current restrictions on the number of people able to attend funerals, Dr Borg-Grech’s funeral cortege travelled through Avonbridge and Standburn, before passing Meadowbank Health Centre in Brightons on its way to Muiravonside Cemetery.
