Braes bride and groom Lauren Munro and William Paterson

Lauren Munro (30) is a teacher, originally from Grangemouth, while William Paterson (32) works for funeral directors Thomas Cuthell. They live in Brightons.

HOW THEY MET: The pair were introduced by a mutual friend Nicola in 2010.

THE PROPOSAL: Six months after they started going out William proposed while the couple were in Glasgow.

THE WEDDING: They were married at The Vu, Bathgate, on October 5, 2019 with 120 guests during the day and a further 60 in the evening.

WEDDING PARTY: Starring role went to the couple’s son, Max (7), who was ‘little best man’ and page boy. The best man was William’s best friend, David Todd, while his brother Oliver Paterson was an usher. Accompanying Lauren were her sister Robyn Munro and friends Ashleigh Risk, Nicola Black, Jemma Kerr and Alison Marshall, while Graeme Nicoll was the bride’s man. The couple’s niece Delilah Wille (3) was flowergirl.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple had a mini-moon at the Blytheswood Hotel & Spa in Glasgow immediately after their wedding and plan a trip abroad this summer.
