Youngsters from St Joseph’s Primary and Antonine Primary were invited to view their allocated plots in the village’s Wellpark Terrace and Memorial Garden by Bonnybridge Community Council.
Community council members welcomed schoolchildren to the greenspace, which spans across 20 plots over two gardens, after the finishing touches were added last month.

Hide AdGreen-fingered P6 and P7 pupils enjoyed identifying plants and placing their own bulbs in the soil as they were told of the advantages of super pollinators by professional gardener Nick Trull.
Each class also planted a small plaque featuring their school’s name and left with a bee hotel to install in the school grounds.
The schools will continue to visit their plots throughout the changing seasons in order to see the plants develop and learn how wildlife benefits from the area.
