Big holiday book hunt in Grangemouth park
While mums, dads, grans and granddads cast their vital vote youngsters can brave the bad weather and hunt for a free book in Grangemouth’s Zetland Park today
Under cover of darkness, stealth elves from Book Fairies Falkirk have planked copies of the children’s book Otherland Louie Stowell around the park.
Basically it’s a case of finders keepers – if you are lucky enough to find a copy then it’s all yours until you choose to pass it on.
Book Fairies are people who, when they have finished reading a good book, want a unique and fun way to pass it on to the next person.
They pop an official book fairy sticker on it, which reads “Take this book, read it and leave it for the next person to enjoy”, and they might even add a ribbon to dress it up as a gift.
Once it is prepared they will hide then it in public to be found.
