Baby of the week: Redding tot Zara Ross

THE DETAILS: Zara Ross was born on December 11, 2019 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 9.56am, weighing 6lbs 1oz.

THE PARENTS: Mum Louise Gray is a senior cost engineer, while dad Derek Ross is a senior production technician offshore. They live in Redding.

THE PREGNANCY: Mum said the pregnancy went well, although she didn’t get a chance to enjoy any maternity leave before Zara arrived. Louise finished work on the Friday and was rushing to hospital on the Sunday.

THE BIRTH: Zara surprised mum and dad by being delivered safe and well a month early. Louise said: “You’ll never forget the joy of hearing their first cry.”

THE NAME: Mum and dad both like traditional names that aren’t too popular and Zara was the name they both loved.

THE BABY: Zara is a really happy and content wee girl, who always has a smile in the morning and is full of fun.

THANKS: Mum and dad would like to thank the staff on the maternity ward at the Larbert hospital who were magnificent throughout their stay.
