Baby of the week: Carronshore tot Arabella Somerville

THE FAMILY: Mum Lisa Somerville (35) is a support practitioner, while dad John Somerville (38) is a clerk of works. Arabella has a big brother Logan, who is six. The family live in Carronshore.

THE PREGNANCY: Mum felt sick for the first few months and was tired and uncomfortable at the end. She also had gestational diabetes so had a lot of scans and check ups.

THE BIRTH: Mum was induced two weeks early because of the gestational diabetes. Once her waters broke in the hospital restaurant it was very quick and Arabella was born two hours later.

THE NAME: Before mum was pregnant both mum and dad liked the name and when they found out they were having a girl agreed it was the only name. Rose is because the couple had the Rose Ceremony at their wedding and their seventh wedding anniversary was a couple of days before she was born.

THE BABY: Arabella is a great baby and loves to sleep. She is always smiling and giggling at her big brother.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Stuart and Julia ARnott and Grant and Carolyn Porteous.
