Baby of the week: Bonnybridge’s Ruairi Hyslop

Ruairi James Hyslop was born on August 17, 2019 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 1.53pm, weighing 7lb 10oz.

THE FAMILY: Mum Kirsty Hyslop (28), is an early years officer at Bantaskin Primary School, while dad Gordon Hyslop (29), works for Openreach. Ruairi’s big brother Murray (4), is amazing with him. The family live in Bonnybridge.

THE PREGNANCY: Mum said the pregnancy was totally fine and Murray was a big help throughout, helping mummy around the house.

THE BIRTH: Kirsty said the birth was a little frightening as Ruairi’s heart beat started to drop when she was induced and she had to be monitored closely until he arrived.

THE NAME: Mum and dad both loved the name Ruairi. His middle name is after his great Papa Jim.

THE BABY: Ruairi is very chilled out, he is always smiling and laughing. He is also a great sleeper too.

THE PROUD GRANDPARENTS: Ann McNiven and June and Jim Hyslop.

THANKS: Mum would like to thank her mum and Gordon for being there throughout the birth, as well as all the staff Larbert hospital. She’d also like to thank Murray for being the best big brother ever.
