Allandale football team Steins 2013s taking part in 5k run for MND Scotland

Stars of a youth football team will pound the pathways of The Helix during a 5k run to support those with motor neurone disease.

Allandale side Steins 2013s will be joined by their parents at the Falkirk park for this Sunday’s fundraising effort, which is being held in aid of MND Scotland.

Steins players have so far collected almost £1000 in sponsorship money.

While some of the funds will go towards the team, the main aim is to give to those in need.

Coach Jamie Callaghan said: “We really hope that we can raise as much as possible for the boys and our nominated cause.

“An old colleague of mine is unfortunately battling the disease.
