Airport’s 2020 grant fund open to Falkirk groups

Falkirk community groups will be able to apply for their share of Edinburgh Airport’s £147,000 community fund for 2020.

The fund allocates money to local initiatives that support health and wellbeing, the environment and education, and the total pot rises in line with yearly passenger numbers - so this year sees an increase.

Almost £143,000 was allocated to 74 groups across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Falkirk and Fife last year, and more than £1 million has been handed to local groups over the past ten years.

Anna Light, head of engagement at Edinburgh Airport said: “The Community Fund is our way of giving back to our communities and supporting local groups who make a difference to their neighbourhoods.

“We want to help wherever possible and I’d invite any local group with a focus on health and wellbeing, the environment and education to apply for funding and let us provide assistance where we can.”
