20 pictures from the Blooming Bairns first Hallowe'en fayre in Falkirk town centre

Family friendly Hallowe’en fun could be found at Falkirk Trinity Church halls at the weekend.

The halls were the venue for the Blooming Bairns’ first ever Hallowe’en fayre on Saturday.

The community group, which sees volunteers improve the town centre’s green spaces, hosted the free event in a bid to bring some fun of the season to local families.

There were plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved in games, dooking for apples, crafts and colouring.

There was face painting, stalls and refreshments.

Of course, everyone was invited to dress up for the occasion – it wouldn’t be Hallowe’en if costumes were not encouraged.

Herald photographer Michael Gillen snapped these images when he stopped by – recognise anyone?
