Palace reopened for visitors

Linlithgow Palace is open again to visitors after being forced to close this morning.

The attraction initially wasn’t open this morning to the public due to staff illness, however, they have managed to find suitable cover.

A spokesperson for Historic Environment Scotland, who manage Linlithgow Palace, said: “Unfortunately, due to exceptional circumstances the Palace was closed for a short period of time this morning – Thursday, November 3.

“However, we were able to arrange staff cover for the site to allow us to open to visitors as normal from 11am for the rest of today. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this slight delay in opening.”
