WHEN The Falkirk Herald relaunched as a tabloid in November 2011, hundreds of you completed surveys and attended focus groups to give your opinion on what would make your favourite local newspaper even better.
The result was a new-look paper that was welcomed by readers and lauded by industry professionals.
We were a finalist in the local weekly newspaper category of the Scottish Press Awards in 2012 and have again been shortlisted this year.
And we’ve also been named the best large weekly title in Johnston Press’ own awards.
But, as we revealed a couple of weeks ago, we’re keen that we don’t stand still so are making some more changes next month.
They won’t be as radical as 18 months ago but will allow us to do some fine-tuning and develop punchier features and more hard-hitting news stories.
I’ve again been delighted by the response of readers who’ve already given their views and we’re taking many of the suggestions on board.
But there’s still time to make your comments on what we can do to improve our in-paper and online offerings – just e-mail us on email@example.com.
