The Psalmist said: “The world and all that is in it belong to the Lord; the earth and all who live on it are his.” (Psalm 24:1)

A number of folks in my church are currently viewing video material entitled “The God Question”, looking at aspects of the great debate about science and religion.

One thing we have noted is that science and religion are compatible, contrary to the popular assumption that science has somehow proved there is no God.

One prominent scientist who is not religious even said that although he thinks the probability that there is a God is highly unlikely, he cannot prove it!

But many scientists throughout the world do believe in God.

The universe we live in is fascinating, orderly and intricate, and when we take time to take in the wonders of the world around us and the love of our fellow human beings, it is very reasonable to believe there is a God. In a sense we all have to answer “The God Question”.

Christians believe that God has clearly revealed himself in Jesus and calls us to follow him.

The question is actually one that only you can answer but it is worth more than just a passing thought, your answer has profound consequences for you and your life.
