Great weather in the Falkirk command area has brought people out into the fresh air to enjoy the sunshine and, hopefully, the start of a long, hot summer.
People travel across Forth Valley to enjoy our iconic landmarks, including the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel.
Last Friday, the division took part in the launch of Police Scotland’s summer drink drive campaign which is aimed at ensuring everyone’s safety on the roads.
The campaign will combine high visibility patrols and roadside checks to catch those driving under the influence of drink or drugs.
Officers will be joining divisional roads policing on increased visibility patrols and additional activity in the Falkirk area with the aim of reassuring our communities and reinforcing that drink/drug driving is unacceptable.
If you choose to drink and drive or while unfit due to the effects of drugs there is a high likelihood you will be caught.
The consequences can be catastrophic, affecting your current and future employment, as well as impacting on family life.
Falkirk officers will continue to target those road users who make it unsafe for themselves and others by drink/drug driving.
It is never worth the risk.
