Not a great roll of honour ...

I doubt it will ever happen, but if I’m ever asked by a celebrity magazine to take part in one of those 60-second interviews, I’d be embarrassed when it got to the ‘What’s the last film you watched?’ question.

Favourite film I could cope with as I’ve seen numerous classics (‘The Shawshank Redemption’ currently being top of my list), but, at this moment in time, I have to admit that my last visit to the cinema was to see ‘Shaun the Sheep Movie’.

And if you scroll through my Cineworld viewing history, it doesn’t make any better reading – ‘Frozen’ (both the normal and singalong versions), ‘Postman Pat: The Movie’, ‘The Boxtrolls’, they’re all there.

I suppose there must be some kudos in going to see ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, but in truth we left early because there was too much dialogue and not enough fighting (not an accusation, I may add, that could be levelled against an almost mute Shaun the Sheep).

That’s the problem with having to keep a six-year-old amused ... roll on until he’s into Star Wars. Now that would provide a perfect excuse!
