Mounted police to visit the Kelpies

I've previously mentioned the national support offered by Police Scotland to local initiatives as was evidenced in the recent Operation Core activity in the Falkirk Area and as part of recent drug operations across Forth Valley Division which had notable results.

As part of this commitment to supporting local officers the National Licensing and Violence Reduction Division (LVRD) have deployed for the next four weeks in the Falkirk Area Command Area.

The LVRD bring together a wealth of experience and knowledge of how to engage criminality and reduce the incidence of violence, disorder and antisocial behaviour. Drawing on this experience and other good practice from across Scotland the LVRD has developed a number of tactics that have proved to be effective at targeting criminals and reducing the incidence of crime. These officers will be visiting licensed premises in the Falkirk area to link in with licenses and ensure our pubs and clubs remain safe environments for all to enjoy.

In addition to the LVRD deployment the mounted branch will be in the Falkirk area for the next few weeks as part of their Divisional deployments. Keep your eyes open at the Kelpies as that’s one of the areas they’ll be visiting while they are here.
