Explorer Scouts from across the world are gearing up for a camping extravaganza aimed at transforming their lives.
In 2018, 1000 scouts will descend on Blair Atholl for the 36th Scottish International Jamborette.
The 500 Scots and 500 scouts from 15 countries will have the opportunity to canoe, abseil, hike, cook, grass ski, sai,; take part in archery, orienteering, pioneering, computing, in total more than 100 activities.
Every two years since 1946, Blair Castle has been transformed with an international gathering of Scouts coming together to camp and share in fun, friendship and the massive range of adventurous activities and challenges.
For the 2014 camp around 1500 Scouts and adults took part. Scottish Scouts representing every district and region in the country were paired with counterparts from as far afield as Japan, Zambia and Canada as well as Iceland, Hong Kong and the USA.
After the camp the Blair Atholl experience continues with a period of home hospitality with the friends made at the camp.
A selection weekend will take place later this month to assess the skills of all the young people who would like to attend the Jamborette.
All completed application forms must be returned to Blair Atholl co-ordinator Alan Wallace by September 22.

IN an effort to continue to offer something for everyone and to encourage young people to enjoy being outside, the Scout Association has produced new badges.
For Scouts there is a range of activity badges including: climbing, parascending, water activities, snow sports and media relations.
Cubs are being encouraged to expand their camping skills with chance to attempt backwoods cooking while beavers can have a go at camp crafts and revealing their green fingers with a gardening badge.
Across the sections there is the chance to have a go at these staged badges which increase in difficulty at each stage: Caving; science and technology and hill walker.
