In addition to Your View Counts, our online survey which captures what local people think Falkirk officers should be concentrating on, we are actively seeking the views of our communities on the future of policing.

Forth Valley policing has undergone major change but, despite the challenges of integration, the area has had consistent local policing, supported by specialists.

As we have transformed, there has been an increase in demand for officers to respond to vulnerability and the consequence of inequality.

In addition, the Force needs to focus on whether local area commands have the necessary skills, tools and capacity to address the future needs of the area.

We are looking at five key areas – prevention, protection (based on threat , risk and harm), communities (focused on local policing, diversity and the virtual world), knowledge and innovation.

We need the community’s help to review the 2026 strategy and offer feedback over the next ten weeks. You can access the Policing 2026 Strategy via the Police Scotland website.
