THE district Brass Monkey camp takes place later this month.
It starts at 9am on January 27 at the Barrwood and will finish on Sunday 28.
There will be a hike that takes a circular route and all participants will need a packed lunch.
On Sunday the Scouts will take part in a variety of games before striking camp. Camp fee is £15.

More than 45,00 other Beaver, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers Rainbows, Brownies, Guides have pledged to recycle their old plastic woggles.
In return for their plastic woggle pledges, the wogglemakers are currently sending out thousands of woggles to groups across the country.
WE are only just into 2018 but plans are already in hand for a cubtastic adventure later in the year.
The Howling, a new Scottish Cub camp at Fordell Firs is aimed at cub packs from across Scotland.
It follows the success of 2016’s Big Birthday Bash and organisers aim to make it bigger and better.
The Howling will be an an action-packed programme of outdoor adventure and activities.
Over the weekend, Cubs will have the chance to take part in a programme of activities including: Jacob’s ladder; climbing tower; abseiling; archery; backwoods cooking; bell boating; bungee trampoline; caving; dry tooling; fire lighting; low ropes; and orienteering.
The Howling takes place from September 7-9. It costs £55 per Cub and £20 per leader (including young leaders) to attend. A 10 per cent deposit must be paid at the time of booking.
Accommodation is camping, so packs will need to provide tents and arrange transport to and from the site. This event is only available to Cub Packs with leaders. If cub leaders wish to register their packs, email using, ‘The Howling,’ in the subject line. Packs who have registered will receive, by email, the booking link 48 hours before the line opens.
