Embrace your eyebrows but don’t go Scousewife!

I have seen many a fashion trend grace the backs and the faces of those people willing, or brave enough, to keep up to date with the trends.

In the past couple of years, we have seen everything from the return of the iconic ‘90’s “mom” jean, to the high top converse and even the traditional brown leather satchel.

However, there is a new trend that has evolved in the past year that I feel has completely dominated the fashion industry.

Behold, ladies and gentlemen – the eyebrow. Never has it been so important to make sure that those brows are always, most definitely, on point.

With the domination of Cara Delevingne in the modelling industry, it was evident that her spectacular brows would make a mark.

It wasn’t long until everyone was blocking lines on their faces, trying to recreate the perfect curve that Cara sports.

I remember watching Perfect Scousewives with my mum and laughing hysterically at the disastrous attempts at eyebrow drawing. I swore to myself that I would never fill in my eyebrows in fear of turning into one of those girls.

However, about three months ago, I bit the bullet and finally bought my first eyebrow pencil.

My brows, in my opinion, are now more “on fleek”.

Eyebrow drawing does come with its negatives, however. I spend a good extra 20 minutes every morning shaping, re-shaping, filling and lining my brows.

And eyebrow scratching is out of the question – a disaster waiting to happen.

But even with these drawbacks, I’ve came to the conclusion that brows are an important part of fashion and should be embraced.

Just don’t over do it girls – you don’t want to end up looking like one of those Desperate Scousewives!
