62nd has all the answers
A team of five from the 62nd Scout Troop took part in the annual District Scout Section quiz, which was organised by leaders of the 41st Falkirk and took place in their hall.
Teams from eight troops answered questions on a wide range of categories which included: Places in Scotland; identifying pop tunes; astronomy and space; movies and the history of Scouting.

Hide AdEach round was presented in a different style to further challenge the participants.
After a tough night using their brains, the team from the 62nd ran out overall winners.
The winning team was made up of Logan Pettigrew, James McBurney, Danny Dougan, Alfie Currie and Angus Brodie.
Frank Fotheringham, district Explorer Scout Commissioner, said: “Well done to the winners but congratulations to the other teams for participating in an exciting and close run competition.”

Hide Ad62nd Scout Leader Greg Farquhar said that his Scouts had a great time at the quiz and enjoyed the various rounds.
He said: “It came as a very pleasant surprise when the 62nd were announced as winners. The Scouts were well chuffed.”
PLANS for Forth Region to take Scouts and Explorers on an American adventure will be set out in a series of meetings in March.
Young members and their families are encouraged to either attend a meeting or contact the organisers of Forth Region USA2021.

Hide AdInitial joining up does not require attendance at one of these evenings and join up can still be after the first introduction weekend March 28/29.
Final sign-up and commitment to payments does not start until summer 2020 and there is no withdrawal penalty though fund raising can start immediately.
Meetings at all locations and dates are open to all members from across the districts.
