Linda Muir from Denny High had the difficult job of adjudicating on the entrants who came from S3-S6. The overall winners were: S3/4 – Charles Gribben (piano) and S5/6 – Kieran Ferguson (piano).

There were also highly commended performers across all the age groups: S3 – Rose Ferguson (piano); S4 – Orla Quin (voice); S5 – Michael Donachie (drum kit); and S6 – Eilidh MacIntyre (voice). Special awards went to: Rachel Fitzpatrick S4 (prize for woodwind); Cameron Clark S3 (instrumental excellence); and Michael Donachie S5 (rock and pop category).

Claire Derrick of the school’s music department said: “All of the performers played beautifully and were a credit to the department. Well done to all involved.”
