The Mrs Tilly’s range of traditional Scottish tablet, fudge and macaroon is now available in 61 supermarkets and 40 petrol stations operated by Morrisons.

Managing director Blair Paterson welcomed the tie-up. He said: “We’re delighted to have won this business with Morrisons – and having our bars available through their petrol filling stations is an added bonus as our products are the perfect ‘impulse’ pick up.

“We’ve been working with the Morrisons buying team for a number of months now. It’s clear they are focussed on enhancing their Scottish offering and we are excited to be part of that!”

Morrisons category manager for Scotland, Angus Bell, said: “Mrs Tilly’s is a great Scottish brand to stock. This is a great example of how we are actively looking at bringing local brands and products to our stores which our customers tell us is what they want to see.”

The deal comes at a busy time for Tilly Confectionary as they begin commissioning two new production lines to support their strong growth and development at home and abroad.

Blair Paterson added: “We have a number of exciting new products launching over the next few months. When my parents started this business from our family kitchen almost 20 years ago it was always about quality and that remains at the heart of everything we do.”
