New figures suggest school pupils across the Falkirk area are taking part in more sport.
Active Schools, a Scottish government-backed campaign which encourages children to keep fit, said that participation was up across Scotland.
Nationally, sporting sessions booked through Active Schools were half-a-million more than last year.
Sportscotland chairwoman Louise Martin said; “There are 400 Active Schools coordinators working in schools across all Scottish local authorities. They support better opportunities to take part in sport before school, during lunchtime and after school.
“Making the switch from school to club sport is also being encouraged.”
