Appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday, Devlin previously admitted being in possession of the knife at the bar on May 18 last year.

Samantha Brown, procurator fiscal depute, said: “The accused was taking some items from his pocket when he took out the knife and placed it on the bar in front of him.”

Defence solicitor Andy Bryson said: “He has no recollection of this. He and his friend came into the bar when they were both very drunk. He was trying to find his money and put the contents of his pockets on the bar.”

Devlin, 109 Carmuirs Avenue, Camelon, was placed on an 18 month supervised community payback order.
