Man charged after haul of cannabis found in Camelon

Officers doing proactive work in the local community on Friday evening forced entry into a property where 34 plants worth around £9000 were discovered.

A 38-year-old man was later traced and charged. A report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal.

As part of Operation Core, extra patrols were also carried out in Larbert’s Carse, Kinnaird and Tryst ward to tackle anti-social behaviour.

Inspector Billy Drummond of Falkirk Police Station said: “These plants had a potential value of £9000, so this is a good piece of proactive work by our team.

“We’d like to reassure people that we won’t allow drugs to fester in our community. Both of these actions have been part of Operation Core and it shows we’re focusing on these issues.

“Information from the public is vital so if anyone is aware of drug crime or anti-social behaviour in their area, please contact Police Scotland on 101.”
