Man brutally beaten in Falkirk nightclub

A young man was brutally attacked in a popular Falkirk nightclub at the weekend.

Police say a 21-year-old was repeatedly punched by an unknown assailant on Friday in The Warehouse – the former Martell – in Burnbank Road, Bainsford on Friday night.

Two 17-year-olds were also charged with improper possession and control of identity documents for allegedly trying to get into the club with IDs belonging to other people.

Inspector Easton said: “Police Scotland will deal with all offences at our licensed premises robustly, a zero tolerance approach will be made to any offending at our licensed premises.

Falkirk Police will continue a highly visible presence at the Warehouse nightclub and other licensed premises in the Falkirk area and this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.

“It is an offence to attempt to enter licensed premises whilst under age, to be in possession of identification which does not belong to you and also to enter or attempt to enter licensed premises whilst drunk.

“Please be mindful of your responsibilities and make our licensed premises a safe and enjoyable place to visit and socialise.”
