Man arrested on drugs charge bailed

A man arrested in connection with a drugs raid at a house in Bainsford has been bailed.

Police in Forth Valley raided the house on Haugh Street on Tuesday, discovering 47 cannabis plants, with an estimated value of over £17,000.

James Rooney (50) of Falkirk appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Wednesday and was bailed.

A police statement said: “Police in Forth Valley executed a search warrant at an address on Haugh Street in Falkirk on Tuesday 15 November.

“A cultivation of 47 cannabis plants, with an estimated value of over £17,000, and associated paraphrenalia was seized.

“A 50-year-old man was arrested in connection with this and appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Wednesday 16 November.”
