The youth club will be held tomorrow (Friday) from 7.30p-9.30 p.m. in the Maddiston Community Centre. All S1-S6 youth welcome. The Sunday services start at 10 a.m. with Communion; followed at 11 a.m. by a time of fellowship with refreshments. The family service is at 11.30 a.m. when the guest speaker will be Brian Lawrie from Motherwell, The Praise Band will also be taking part. Children and young teens can go out of the service and into their own groups at noon, Discovery Club Extra, Creche and Youth Bible Group. The evening service is at 6.30 p.m. when there will be Bible teaching from David Campbell from Maddiston. His theme is entitled ‘The God who is real/Kings 18, 16-40’. The parent and toddler group will meet on Monday at 9.30 a.m. The prayer meeting will be on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m.
Events and activities on at Maddiston Community Centre for today and the next week include - Maddiston C.E.C will be open as a Polling Station, there will be no groups being held today; on Friday the Credit Union will be open 10 a.m.–noon; the Community Café is open 8.45 a.m.–1 p.m.; the Senior Youth Club will meet 7-9 p.m. On Monday the Personal Development Group meets 9.30-11.30 a.m.; Maddiston Local History Group meets 1-3 p.m.; on Tuesday the Giggles Group will meet 9.30–11.30 a.m.; the Family History Groups meets 10 a.m.-noon; Kempo Ju-Jitsu meet 7-9 p.m; On Wednesday the child-minding group meets 9.30–11.30 a.m. and a Fast Track IT class is held from 9.30 a.m. - noon (call 501696 for information); the Youth Clubs will be on, P1-P4 5.30-6.30 p.m. and P5-P7, 6.45-7.45 p.m. We also have an IT suite for public use for internet access, e-mail access, filling in online forms, job searches, homework and printing/copying. Maddiston & Rumford Local History Group’s next meeting will be on Monday at 1 p.m. If you’d like to be involved with the project then why not come along and join in. We’re a friendly bunch who like nothing better than a blether over old times in the area (remember it’s the whole parish of Muiravonside we’re tracing the history of, not just Maddiston and Rumford).
The Club is running buses to May’s Scottish Cup final at Hampden between Falkirk and Inverness and anyone wishing to book seats should put their names in at the clubrooms or call John Brown on (01324) 711277.
