Maddiston Old Folks Association Annual Day Trip on Tuesday, June 17 to Perth. The coach will leave at 10 a.m. returning at approx. 9.30 p.m. Tickets £5.00 per person. The Hall will open on Tuesday, June 3 and again on Tuesday, June 10 from 10.30 a.m. till midday for those members who wish to come along and put their names on the list for going on the day trip.

Wee Reekie’s disco returns to the club on Saturday, June 7, between 8.30.p.m. and midnight. Tickets, priced £2, can be booked with Tam Forsyth and Zander, or enquire at the bar. Meanwhile, a domino competition goes ahead every Sunday in the Manuelrigg premises at 4.p.m. All are welcome and winners can look forward to the first prize of a Coo Pie.

Last Sunday, Morning Service was conducted by the minister, the Rev Louise McClements, and by Mrs Amanda McQuarrie. During the Intimations a warm welcome was given to Mrs Jacquelene Dignan who was our organist for the service. This Sunday, morning service will be held at the usual time of 11.30 a.m. and will be conducted by Mrs Amanda McQuarrie.The Banner Group meets at 2 p.m. each Friday in Blackbraes and Shieldhill Church Hall. All welcome! The Muiravonside Choral Society Spring Concert will be held in the Church on Wednesday, May 28 at 7.30 p.m. More details to follow.
93rd Braes Scouts are holding a Spring Fayre in Maddiston Primary School this Saturday, May 24 from 12- 3 p.m. Entry is £1 for Adults (includes a drink and a biscuit) and children are free. There will be a café, tombola, face painting, book stall and many more . We also have craft stalls selling jewellery, plants and baskets, glitter glasses, bows (hair accessories), baby knitting and nappy cakes, sauces, decorated horseshoes, aloe vera products, and cards. We would be grateful for any donations of prizes for our tombola stall and children’s clothes or toys in good condition, these can be handed in at the school on Thursday evening 7-9 p.m. Also baking for our cake and candy stall, this can be handed in Friday, May 23 from 6 p.m. or on the morning of the fayre. There will be a youth Alpha Course on Friday, from 7.30-8.30 p.m. in the Church Annexe. All S1-S6 youth welcome. The Family Service is on Sunday at 11.30 a.m. and wll be taken by John Gillespie from Ayr. Children can go out of the service into their own groups at noon.The evening service at 6.30 p.m. will be taken by Alasdair Fyfe from Glasgow. The parent and toddler gorup will take place on Monday at 9.30 a.m. The Prayer Meeting will be on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m.
