The Easter Family Service is on Sunday at 11.30 a.m. and the guest speaker will be Jackie Locke. Children and young teens can go out of the service and into their own groups - Discovery Club Extra, crèche or Youth Bible Group - at noon. The Easter Praise Service is from 6.30-7.30 p.m. when there will be congregational singing, Bible readings, video clip, a brief message by Bryan Dick, followed by Communion. Everyone welcome to these services! The Church Prayer Meeting is on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m.
Maddiston Community Council will be holding its next meeting tonight (Thursday) at 7 p.m. in the community centre. All are welcome. Issues will include the petition to stop the practice of spreading sewage on fields, the progress on upgrading our footpaths, work taking place on the growing area and football pitch improvements. Other issues including housing development in the area and the pressure on Nicholton Road due to the Polmont rail bridge closure.
Last Sunday’s morning service in Muiravonside Parish Church was conducted by Rev. Ray Thomson. During the Intimations a warm welcome was given to Mrs Jacqueline Dignan, our organist for the service. On Easter Sunday the service in Muiravonside Parish Church will commence at the usual time of 11.30 a.m. and will be conducted by the Minister Rev. Louise McClements. The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated at this service. The Sunday Club meets at the same time. The Falkirk Foodbank collection is still ongoing and there is a box in the vestibule to collect any donations for this cause. The Spring Fayre takes place on Saturday, April 25 in Maddiston Community Centre. The event starts at 1.30 p.m. All the usual stalls. Tea ticket (including entry) costs £1.50. Entry only costs 20p.
A domino competition goes ahead at the Manuelrigg premises every Sunday afternoon when the winner can pick up a coo pie.
