Evangelical Church

The Youth Club re-starts after the Easter break on friday from 7.30-9.30 p.m. in the Maddiston Community Centre. The Sunday services begin at 10 a.m. with Communion followed at 11 a.m. by a time of refreshments and fellowship. The Family service is at 11.30 a.m. when the guest speaker will be Tim Oakes from Bathgate. The Praise Band will also be taking part. Children and young teens can go out of the service and into their own groups, Discovery Club Extra, Creche and Youth Bible, at noon. The evening service is at 6.30 p.m. when there will be Bible Teaching from Alasdair Fyfe from Glasgow. he will begin a series of teaching sessions on Elijah and Elisha. His theme for this evening is “Elijah - Man Just Like Us”, 1st kings 16:29-17:6. This will be a Youth Focus evenign but with a message for all. the Parent and Toddler group will meet on Monday at 9.30 a.m. The Prayer Meeting is on Wednesday, at 7.30 p.m.

History Group

Maddiston & Rumford Local History Group holds its next meeting on Thursday, April 30 at 1 p.m. in Maddiston Community Centre, all welcome.

Events and activities on at Maddiston Community Centre for today and the next week include; Today (Thursday) Giggles Toddlers Group meets 12.30-2.30 p.m.; the Kempo Ju-Jitsu club is on 7–9 p.m.; On Friday the Credit Union will be open 10 a.m.–noon; the Community Café is open 8.45 a.m.–1 p.m. MSP Angus MacDonald will hold a surgery noon-1 p.m.; the Senior Youth Club will meet 7-9 p.m. On Monday the Personal Development Group will meet from 9.30–11.30 a.m. (call 01324 720960 for information). On Tuesday the Giggles Group will meet 9.30–11.30 a.m.; the Family History Group meets 10 a.m.-noon; Kempo Ju-Jitsu meet 7-9 p.m; On Wednesday the child-minding group meets 9.30–11.30 a.m. and a Fast Track IT class is held from 9.30–11.30 a.m. (call 501696 for information). The Youth Clubs for P1-P4 at 5.30-6.30 p.m. and for P5-P7 at 6.45-7.45 p.m. We also have an IT suite for public use for internet access, e-mail access, filling in online forms, job searches, homework and printing/copying.
