Falkirk will receive £2 million to revamp its historic town centre.
The Heritage Lottery Fund grant is the biggest ever made in the area.
Cash will be used to repair historic buildings and bring them back into use.
The symbolic steeple in the heart of the town will be restored, along with premises in Kirk Wynd and Vicar Street.
Falkirk Council will work with Historic Scotland, as well as town centre managers, businesses and local historians to carry out the work.
