Parish Church

Holy Communion will be celebrated next Sunday, October 19 at 10 a.m. Tea and coffee will not be served after morning Communion. An afternoon Communion service will be held in Laurieston Church Hall at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Tea and coffee will be served after this service. On door duty on Sunday, October 19, are: Mrs E. Thomson, Mr M. Walker, Mr D. Turner and Mr G. Young. The flowers for this service are being donated by The Guild. On Tuesday, October 21, the Guild’s guest speaker will be Mrs Liz McKellar who will speak on this year’s theme. At the congregation’s request, we look forward to an evening with Arnotdale Singers on Friday, November 7, at 7.30 p.m. Further details later.

Gospel Hall

The preacher at the 3 p.m. Sunday Gospel meeting in the Cotton Lane Gospel hall will be Mr Muir Brannon from Hamilton. Tea and biscuits will be served afterwards. Everyone is welcome.

Medium’s Visit

Laurieston Spiritualist Church will have Victor Collins from St Andrews as guest medium for its service in the Old Folks Welfare Hall in Mary Street on Monday. Doors open 6.45 p.m., service starts 7.30 p.m. Everyone welcome.

Art Club

Laurieston Art Club is hosting an exhibition in the Old Folks Hall on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. (October 17-18). Tea and home baking.
