Scottish Dancing

Get your body and mind in shape! The local Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society’s Beginners Class will meet in Laurieston Primary School from 6.45 to 7.45 p.m. on a Tuesday night (no partner required and accompanied children are welcome). Gospel Hall

The preacher at the 3 p.m. Sunday Gospel Meeting in the Cotton Lane Gospel Hall will be Mr Ernest Nelson from Mayfield, Edinburgh. Tea and biscuits will be served afterwards. Everyone is welcome.

Parish Church

The Bereavement Service held on Sunday was very moving and comforting with a time of quiet reflection. Remembrance Sunday on November 9 will have a short service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph at 9.30 a.m. followed by the service in church at 10 a.m. There will be a retiral collection after this service for Erskine Hospital. On door duty on Sunday are: Mrs A. Gardiner, Mr J. Christie, Mr J. McLellan and Mr G. Ferguson. The flowers for this service are being donated by Marion Brown. On tea duty are; Mr P. Ferguson, Mrs M. Ferguson and Mrs J. Currie. The guild meets in the halls on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m., when Colin will speak about “The best of the worst”.

Arnotdale Singers

There will be a concert on Friday, November 7, by the Arnotdale Singers in Laurieston Church at 7.30 p.m. Entry is £5 and children are free. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided at the interval. Tickets are available from Sheila Marshall, John and Jennifer Campbell and Peter Ferguson or pay at the door.

Medium’s Visit

Laurieston Spiritualist Church will have Brenda Walker from Grangemouth as guest medium for its service in the Old Folks Welfare Hall in Mary Street on Monday, November 10. Doors open 6.45 p.m., service starts 7.30 p.m. Everyone welcome.

Cash Bingo
