Laurieston Spiritualist Church will have Shona and Rhona from Armadale as guest mediums for its service in the Old Folks Welfare Hall in Mary Street on Monday, March 23. Doors open 6.45 p.m., service starts 7.30 p.m. Everyone welcome.
Brass Band Concert
The preacher at the 4 p.m. Sunday meeting in the Cotton Lane Gospel Hall will be Mr Paul Young from Falkirk. Please note the change of time. Everyone is welcome.
At morning worship Dr Henderson concentrated on ‘forgiveness’ in continuing the study of the Lord’s Prayer. On door duty this Sunday are: Mrs M. Ferguson, Mrs J. Currie, Mr W. Daye and Mr P. Ferguson. The flowers for this service are being donated by Mrs I. Kowal. On Tea Duty are Mrs A. Gardner, Messrs MacLellan, Christie and Ferguson. Monday, March 23 at 2 p.m. there will be a talk by Alan Cumming on the history of the Scottish Women’s Hospital for Overseas Service, in Meadowbank Library, Polmont to mark the last day of the exhibition ‘Our area in the First World War’. Free, but tickets needed. Box office on (01324) 506850. Spring song will be held on Tuesday, March 24 at 7.30 p.m. with guest performers the Police Ceilidh Band. The final meeting of this session will be on the afternoon of Holy Week Tuesday. Holy week services (all at 7 p.m. ) are as follows: Monday, March 30, Slamannan (Bowling Club); Tuesday, March 31 Wallacestone Methodist; Wednesday, April 1 Polmont Old; Thursday, April 2 Laurieston (Maundy Thursday communion); Friday, April 3 Brightons (Good Friday).
