Gospel Hall

The preacher at the 3 p.m. gospel meeting in the Cotton Lane Gospel Hall is Mr Herbert Brook from Perth. Tea and biscuits will be served after the meeting. Everyone is warmly welcome.

Parish Church

An important part of morning worship on Sunday, June 12, was to welcome the extended family of the late Mr Tom McKerracher, a beloved friend and elder of 55 years, and to dedicate new bibles and a flickering thistle lamp in his memory. Tom was a devoted and dedicated member of the church and a friend to all and continues to be sadly missed. His family are sincerely thanked for the thoughtful and generous gift which will continue to provoke many happy and kind memories of Tom. Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated here in Laurieston at 10 a.m. on Sunday. On door are Mrs E . Thomson, Mr J. McLellan, Mr J. Christie and Mr G. Ferguson. The flowers are being donated by Mrs I. Strathie. Tea and coffee will not be served after Communion worship.

The annual outing to Ayr on Tuesday will leave the hall at 10 a.m. prompt. The final opportunity to book is at the Coffee Morning in the hall tonight (Thursday). Packed lunch is included in the cost of £10. The lunch in aid of the upkeep of the hall with entertainment by Primary 7 children, will take place tomorrow (Friday) in the Old Folk’s Hall. Since the children are expected to arrive about midday, we would like seats to be taken about 11.45 a.m. if possible. Catering is donated by members allowing all proceeds, including raffle and stall, to help the upkeep of the hall which is available to all senior citizens. Come along and enjoy. Cost is £5.
