If your child is five after March 1 and before August 19, he or she must start school in August. Children who are five after August 19, but before March 1, 2016, can also start school this August. Enrolment times for catchment children at Laurieston Primary School are: Tuesday, January 13 and Wednesday, January 14 from 9.10 a.m.-noon and 1.30-3.30 p.m. Please bring proof of address and your child’s birth certificate.

Laurieston Spiritualist Church will have April Mackie from Bathgate as guest medium for its service in the Old Folks Welfare Hall in Mary Street on Monday. Doors open 6.45 p.m., service starts 7.30 p.m. Everyone welcome.
Sincere thanks to all who donated flowers during 2014, they are very much appreciated by the sick and bereaved. There are still a few dates left on the 2015 list in the information area. If you would like to donate flowers, please put your name on the list next to the date required. This Sunday the flowers are being donated by M. Strang. On door duty are: Mrs M. Andrew, Mrs J. White, Mrs C. park and Mrs S. Marshall. On tea duty are Mrs E. Thomson, Mr G. Young, Mr D. Turner and Mr M. Walker. The Guild meets on Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 when they will have Bible readings with Bring and Buy. Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated in Laurieson at 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 18, and Wednesday, January 21 in the church halls. All welcome.
The preacher at the 3 p.m. Sunday Gospel Meeting in the Cotton Lane Gospel Hall will be Mr Jack Gillespie from Grangemouth. Tea and biscuits will be served afterwards. Everyone is welcome.
Scottish Country Dancing: Get your body and mind in shape! The local RSCDS Beginners Class will meet in Laurieston Primary School from 6.45 to 7.45 p.m. on a Tuesday night (no partner required and accompanied children are welcome).
