At the last coffee morning of the year the school choir braved the elements to entertain the senior citizens. Many thanks to staff and children for providing such pleasure to members of an older generation. The Christmas party was an excellent success due to the music of Alex Anderson, the performance of the line dancers and to the preparation of food and drink by the staff. Members would like to thank the ladies who give so much time and effort throughout the year, and to convey to everyone compliments of the season. Next coffee morning will be on Thursday, January 8.
The preacher at the 3 p.m. Sunday Gospel meeting in the Cotton Lane Gospel Hall, will be Mr Douglas Kennedy from Barrhead. Tea and biscuits will be served afterwards. Everyone is welcome.
An evening session is on every Sunday in Laurieston Community Hall (in the park). Doors open 6 p.m., eyes down 6.45 p.m. Two snowballs to play for. Refreshments available. Tel: 07773 991 931.
The Rainbows, Brownies and Guides would like to thank the two local companies who came forward with the very kind offer of lighting up our local empty Christmas tree - Lightways from Larbert and Perfect Touch the local florist. It was really very much appreciated, but at the last minute the council found lights and hopefully they will be up by the time this goes to print. We would also like to thank everyone for their kind support after the article appeared in last week’s Falkirk Herald. The Guiders would like to thank Councillor Steven Jackson and the Provost Pat Reid for their help in resolving the issue of our Christmas tree. The Rainbows, Brownies and Guides would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
