The coffee mornings will start again today (Thursday) at 10 a.m. Come along and meet up with old friends and new. All will be made welcome.

Parish Church

The ceremony of marriage again took place in Laurieston Church on Saturday, August 16 when Laura Turner and Andrew Jonathan Spark were joined in holy matrimony by Rev. Dr Mary Henderson. We wish Laura and Andrew a long and happy life together. The Sunday school will resume on Sunday, August 24 at 10 a.m. in church then into the hall. All children will be welcome. On door duty next Sunday are Mrs M. Andrew, Mrs J. White, Mrs C. Park and Mrs S. Marshall. On tea duty are E. Thomson, G. Young, D. Turner and M. Walker. The flowers for this service are donated by May Gilmore. Margaret Ross will present her Songs of Praise service so come and enjoy members’ favourite hymns.

Medium’s Visit

Laurieston Spiritualist Church will have April Mackie from Bathgate as guest medium for its service in the Old Folks Welfare Hall in Mary Street on Monday, August 25. Doors open 6.45 p.m., service starts 7.30 p.m. Everyone welcome.

Flute Band

Laurieston Loyalists Flute Band is holding a blue night in Laurieston Community Hall on Saturday, September 6 from 7.30 p.m. till late. Tickets £5. The band is also looking to take on new members, male or female, all ages. The band meets every Monday and Wednesday from 7.30-9.30 p.m. in Laurieston Community Hall.

Cash Bingo

An evening session is on every Sunday in Laurieston Community Hall (in the park). Doors open 6 p.m., eyes down 6.45 p.m. Two snowballs to play for. Refreshments available. Tel: 07773 991 931.
