The preacher at the 4 p.m. Gospel meeting on Sunday in the Cotton Lane Gospel Hall, will be Mr Anderson Munro from Bo’ness. Please note the change of time. The Bible Teacher the third of the series of 7 p.m. Saturday night ministry meetings, will be Mr Tom Wilson from Springburn, Glasgow. Tea and sandwiches will be served afterwards. Everyone is welcome to these meetings.
A blend of fun and interest kept the Sunday School children invovled in the message of the Resurrection at Easter Sunday morning worship. Well done, boys and girls and thank you for the gifts everyone received. Blackbraes and Shildhill Church celebrates its 150th anniversary this year and has invited us to join them on Friday, April 25 at 7.30 p.m. for a concert with the duo ‘Vangel’ (tickets 36 including supper). There is a coffee morning and/or lunch on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. with displays and entertainment. Holy Communion will be celebrated in Laurieston on Sunday, April 27, at 10 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. On door duty on Sunday are: Mrs E. Haylott, Mrs M. Thomson, Mr M. Walker and Mr G. Young. The flowers for this service are being donated by Fiona Crighton. Tea and coffee will not be served after the Communion morning worship. A meeting of Board and Session with the visiting team from Falkirk Presbytery will take place on Thursday, May 1 at 7 p.m. A full turnout from the Board and Session is requested.
The evening walks have recommenced on Wednesdays. Just turn up at Laurieston Square for 7 p.m. and and enjoy a walk around the south paths. Walks are led by experienced walk leaders and we suggest that suitable footwear and clothing be worn. For further details contact Ian Wright on (01324) 636799.
Laurieston Spiritualist Church will have April Mackie from Bathgate as guest medium for its service in the Old Folks Welfare Hall in Mary Street on Monday, April 28. Doors open 6.45 p.m., service starts 7.30 p.m. Everyone welcome.

A new flute band has started in Laurieston and is looking for fluters and drummers. We meet on a Monday and a Wednesday from 8-10 p.m. in Laurieston Community Hall. On April 26 the band will be holding a blue night in the hall from 8 p.m. until late with a loyalist singer. Tickets are priced at £5 each and can be bought at the door on the day.
