There will be an Easter Sunday Gospel meeting in the Cotton Lane Gospel Hall at 3 p.m. Tea and biscuits will be served afterwards. Everyone is welcome.
Many thanks to all those who came to the annual general meeting last Thursday morning. The committee were again voted en bloc. Special thanks to all those who supported us during the past year. The next concert in the Old Folks Hall, is on Friday, April 24 at 7.30 p.m. Tickets priced £3 or pay at the door.
The Guild annual Spring Song was well attended and thanks are due to all who added to its success. The Guild session is now complete. Extra meetings are listed on the syllabus and all are welcome to attend. Dr Henderson’s service on Palm Sunday connected with her continuing insight into the Lord’s Prayer. Remaining Holy Week services are: tonight (Maundy Thursday), Laurieston, Communion; tomorrow (Good Friday), Brightons. Door duty on Sunday are: Mrs A. Gardiner, Mr J. Christie, Mr J. McLellan and Mr G. Ferguson. On Tea Duty are Mrs E. Thomson, Mr G. Young, Mr D. Turner and Mr M. Walker. The flowers for this service are being donated by Mrs M. Hoggan. Thanks are due to the fundraising committee for their hard work behind the scenes which continues to give the church interior a pleasant new look.
